New Outlook

One thing I've noticed lately is that there are so many people out there who act like the world owes them everything they want. They take everything for granted from family, friends, health, jobs, etc. People complain all the time about their hair isn't right, their boyfriends or husbands don't spoil them enough, their kids misbehave, they have a head cold and can't breathe. Well here's a newsflash, at least you have that.

I mean seriously think about how many people you know, whether you talk to them every day or have just crossed paths with them, who doesn't have any of that. Think about how many people you know of that are suffering from cancer or any kind of disease. Just think about how they must feel to see you constantly complaining when they are putting a smile on their face and pushing through each day. Living as if each day is their last. Hell, some of those people don't have any hair to complain about not being right. I know plenty of people who would love to be able to complain about going to the salon and the stylist cutting their hair wrong. I know plenty of people who would be grateful to just have to deal with having a head cold instead of the struggles of daily pain of stuff like Fibro, Lupus, PCOS, RA, etc. I personally know how it is to wake up in pain and go to bed in pain. I know how it is to get up and put a smile on my face despite wanting to cry from it all. So while you're complaining about that, why don't you consider the men, women and children out there who suffer every day.

Now that you've thought about that, how about thinking about how many people don't have husbands or boyfriends to complain about not spoiling them enough. Think about those who are widows. Who have promised their lives and love to that one person who is perfect for them and then one day they get the news that says that person is no longer there to wake up beside them, cook them breakfast, massage their back, or even just say those little words "I Love You" ever again. So while you're complaining about your S.O. not doing the dishes for you or for coming in late from work why don't you stop to think about those who no longer have someone to wait for.

Now on to the fact that I see so many people complaining about their children. I understand that your kids might get on your nerves every now and then. I admit, some peoples kids get on my nerves. I have seen so much about "my baby started teething and is now biting on everything" or "my baby is walking now and I'm having to chase him/her everywhere", etc. OMG the list goes on. So while you're complaining about your children growing up and doing stuff that every child will eventually do if they haven't already, please remember those who have either been told they would never be able to conceive or have conceived and not been able to carry to term or have carried full term and held their babies in their arms as it took its last breath or even those people who's kids are still here with them but will never know the joys of being able to walk around, etc. I know so many people who have been through all of that. One of my friends whom I've known for well over 10 years has had to suffer the loss of two babies. No one should go through that. So next time you start talking about how your child is "annoying" or "driving you crazy" because they are just doing what any child will do, then think about those people.

I'm gonna end with that right now. Just something for everyone to think about before you go on your next venting spree about how bad your life is because you don't get what you want every day!
